Do you have extra energy and need to channel it? Do you have a talent you'd like to share with others? (Scrap booking, music, painting, assisting on community trips, the possibilities are endless.) You can make a difference in the life of a person with developmental disabilities if you consider volunteering at Phoenix Alternatives.
Phoenix Alternatives is a non-profit program, located in White Bear Lake and Oakdale that provides recreation and vocational services to adults with developmental disabilities. We offer our services 8:00a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. We are looking for individuals that would be interested in working with our staff to provide a broader array of experiences to those we serve. Many persons with developmental disabilities have a limited social circle. You can help to make that circle grow. We are flexible regarding your time commitment. Maybe you'd like to come once for an hour or perhaps you'd like to come on a regular basis. Your good will and your varied life experiences will make a difference in many lives, including your own.
